This function allows creating point-type internal elements. When accessing Create technical points, Step 1 is entered, – here you need to select a piece, and click on the spot where the technical point must be created. The function is repetitive, you being free to add as many technical points as you wish through only one accessing of the function. After the first technical point has been created, you can modify its properties, together with the ones of the next technical points created in the function’s same instance in the Activity area/Context options.
Technical point properties:
Point name – the name of the technical point;
Point type – the technical point types are: Common,Button,Hook hole,Dart peak,Fastener hole,Construction matching point;
Dimension – the dimension of the technical point;
Angle – the technical point’s rotation angle relative to its initial position;
Move from origin – this field displays the distance in the X and Y direction relative to the point set as piece origin. You can reposition the technical point relative to the origin point by modifying the values in the field.
Move from current – you can reposition the technical point relative to its current position.
Link – this option allows you to link a certain technical point to another technical point or a main point from the same piece.
Show on symmetrical – when this option is checked, the displaying is made on the symmetrical half of the technical point.
Decorative element – this option allows you to set a decorative element in the technical point.
Set as origin – this option allows you to set the piece origin in the technical point.
Linked technical points
One of linked technical points’ properties is that they can keep the distance relative to the point to which they were linked, when its position is changed.
To link the technical point, click on Set link, and, then, indicate the element to link the technical point to.
Technical points can be repositioned, through the X/Y coordinates, relative to the reference point, by modifying the values in the fields of the Move from linked option. If you wish to change the reference point, click on Change link, and indicate another reference. If you wish to unlink the technical point from the reference point, click on the X button. To validate the points placed on the pieces or the function exiting, press Esc.
Note! The Construction matching point – type technical point cannot be imported to Nest EXPERT. The Common,Button,Hook hole,Dart peak,Fastener hole technical point types can be imported to Nest EXPERT.
