Accessing the Show/hide unfolded piece function after having selected a piece with folds triggers the temporary unfolding of the folds from the piece.
Modifications cannot be carried out on the temporarily-unfolded piece. In order to be able to undertake modifications on the piece, you need to hide the temporary unfolding.
