Create a new point at a given distance from the selected point

This function allows you to add a point or a group of points at a certain distance from a selected point on the perimeter of the piece.

The function is useful in the following cases:

a. To create a new point from a selected point

b. To create more points from a selected point;

c. To create a point or more points, from multiple selected points.

When entering in the function the below window is displayed

Complete the function steps :

Step 1 – select the reference point.
Step 2 – Edit parameters. Here, in the Distance edit, you will set the values for placing the point or the group of points relative to the reference point.

Point creation for case:

a. Create a new point from a selected point.

In Step 2, edit Distance, specify the distance where you want to add the point on the contour, and press Enter. The distance is measured along the contour in the clockwise direction from the reference point. If you want to add a point in the counterclockwise direction, you will insert a negative value.

b. Create more points from a selected point

In Step 2, edit Distance, specify the distances where you want to add the points on the contour, and press Enter. The distances value will be separated by space, as in the picture below:

Each distance is calculated always from the reference point. If you want to add new points in counterclockwise direction from the reference point, then the distances introduced should be negative values.

c. Create a point or more points, from multiple selected points

You have to select the points and then, click on the function Create a new point at a given distance from a selected point. In Step 2, from the Function steps window, specify the desired distance(s) with a negative or positive value and press Enter.
