Checking the pieces on the cut line can trigger the displaying of the following errors:
- Notch geometry;
- Overlapped notches;
- Notch intersection.
By default, the checking is carried out on all the sizes from the model, but you can also opt for only checking the base size, in which case the Check only base size button needs to be clicked on.
As the check is being carried out, on the lower side of the Patterns checking window, a progress bar is displayed, indicating how much has been checked of the entire model or of all the selected pieces.
To assist you with identifying and correcting the errors, when selecting an error from the list, the application automatically goes through the following stages:
- brings to the fore the piece with the selected error;
- selects and marks the elements producing the error, so that they can be identified;
- exchanges the current working mode for the one where the error can be corrected;
- exchanges the model’s base size for the one the selected error was found on.
- The errors identified on the cut line are marked as follows:
- the notches’ intersection only on the cut line is marked by selecting the notches from the seam line;
- the notches’ intersection with the cut line is marked by selecting the notch from the seam line;
- the intersection of the corner notches (notches that do not exist on the seam line) is marked by selecting the notches when the seam allowance is displayed, and also by selecting the corner point when the allowance is hidden.
Warning! When selecting an error, the model’s base size is exchanged for the one the error was identified on. As soon as the error has been corrected, the setting of the initial base size needs to be considered.
On the seam line will also be checked the pack of the grading on the symmetry axis, in which case there is more than one grading table in the model (Grading and Drop, for example). If the grading steps and the symmetry axis are not collinear, an error message will be displayed prompting you to manually correct this.
