Create a sequence of technical elements along path
By using the Create a sequence of technical elements along path function, you can add a number of technical elements on a piece’s section.
Complete the following steps:
Step 1: select the section’s first point.
Step 2: select the section’s second point.
Step 3: select the section’s direction.
Step 4: edit the placing of the technical elements:
Distance – the length of the section between the two selected points;
Invert end – allows you to invert the selection of the section’s points.
Offset from ends – distances provided at the ends as start references for placing the technical elements;
Element type – the element that will be created: point or line;
Element subtype– the created element’s subtype: for technical points: Common, Button, Hook hole, Dart edge, Fastener hole; for technical lines: Common, Text, Button hole, Pocket.
Number of points/lines – the number of elements added on the section;
Distance type –opt for an elements’ distribution mode: fixed (at fixed ratios entered) or distributed (distributed evenly along the section, uneditable by the user);
Distance between points – a measurement that displays the placing distance;
Length – technical lines’ option for editing the dimension;
Angle – technical lines’ option for editing the angle of the technical lines relative to the Cartesian systems.
This function is applied when Validate is clicked on. To exit the steps sequence, click on Exit, or press Esc.
