To set a free angle in one or more points from a piece, select the piece’s point(s) to be set at a free angle, and, in the Context bar, click on Set free angle.

Control tangents are mutually independent, as angle or length. The contour shape in that point can be cusped with no constraint.

Free points, can be used between 2 curves and between a line and a curve.
