The Attach function allows you to use an already-existing piece as a sign on a pattern.
To attach a piece or a group of pieces to another piece, you need to select, in order, the pieces needing to be attached and the piece to attach them to. When attaching one or more pieces to a main piece, the attached pieces display the status Attached, being stuck to the parent piece until they are detached.
The Attach function can be used to mark the patch pocket placement:

Select the piece (in the example, the pocket) and place it in the position you want it to be attached.

After the steps have been made, the pocket will be attached, and the status of the piece will be changed to Attached.
The attached piece’s properties are displayed in the Pieces working mode, in the Activity area/Context options.
When selecting an attached piece in the Context options panel from the Activity area are displayed the attached pieces properties:
The status of the attached piece will change from Independent (when it was not attached) to Attached.
If the option Show on symmetrical is checked the attached pieces will appear also on the symmetrical piece (if the existing piece has a symmetry line).
Note! The attached piece’s layer is taken over from Settings – Technical – Attached pieces the moment the attaching is carried out. If you wish that the attached piece do not take part in the cutting plan, select the corresponding layer.
Auxiliary pieces are used to create pieces in a model and are saved together with the model; however, they do not participate to create the cut plan in the Gemini Cut Plan application and are not placed on the marker in the Nest EXPERT application.
