Style Editor

Note! This function is an add-on that is limited to Atelier version. More info about Style Editor can be found in subchapter Style Editor in Add-ons.

In the version Atelier, you can add an unlimited number of questions, answers, actions, and conditions, to create the scenario for customizing styles. You can also use the components and can also create an unlimited number of components.

Using the scenario for production purposes is limited: only the answers for the first question will be accepted, the rest will be ignored. All the information remains in the model, but they cannot be used for production.

The archive for Web Preview cannot be exported; saving or loading styles are disabled.

When opening a model that contains styles, a pop-up will appear with the following message: “You do not have a license for Style Editor. If you open this model, the answers for all styles will be reset!” and in Default Style all the options will be unchecked.

The Style Editor window can be accessed from the General toolbar.

The window is structured into 4 tabs:

Create form;
Components;
Web preview;
Default styles.

Create the list of questions and options

In the Creation form tab, the operator can create the list of options and preferences, by adding questions and possible answers in the Questions and Answers area.
The whole list of questions and answers can be saved on the disk in an XML file format. The XML file can be loaded into another model, for the situations when similar products are being developed.
In the first tab, in the top row, there is small toolbar containing the specific functions for adding, deleting and moving up or down a question or an answer in the list.

For each question and answer, you can apply a set of conditions under which that question or answer will become an option for the customer.

Create a component

A component can be created and populated in two ways:

1.From the Style Editor window, in the Components tab.
In the second tab of the Style Editor window you can create new components by adding items to the list.
You can also search for an already existing component.

A component created in the Create component form can be populated with actions in the same tab. This can be easily done by using one of the buttons in the Content area: add new item above or below the selected action or directly, by using the Add action button at the bottom of the list.

An already created action can be deleted by clicking on the button at the end of the action’s row or by selecting it and then clicking on “-“, on the toolbar.
