Update base size geometry must be used if the size of the projected product does not correspond to the actual sizes. This situation can occur after the prototype is created – due to the processes it goes through, the initially set base size does not correspond dimensionally to the one projected, but its transformations are proportional, and corresponds to the dimensions of another size.
The Update base size geometry function includes a step where you need to select the size of the geometry which corresponds to the new base size. After clicking on Validate, the base size remains unchanged in Base size, but the piece geometries belong to the size opted for in the function. After updating the base size geometry, the grading step between the sizes is maintained. For example, if, between sizes 44 and 46, the step is 1.00, and between sizes 46 and 48, the step is 1.20, these steps are maintained after updating between the new sizes 44, 46 and 48.
