Create distance notch

To create a notch at a given distance on a piece, the Create distance notch function, from the Garment mode, must be accessed.
After accessing this function, go to Step 1 – Select notch position on contour, and select the position desired on the contour.
As soon as the position is selected, on the contour is created a notch with the parameters’ default values.
The reference point is defined by the closest main point, considered anticlockwise on the contour, from the moment of the notch creation.

When the notch has been created, in the Activity area / Context options, the Notch properties are displayed. The parameters are identical to the ones of the percent notch, except for the Distance parameter.
Distance – the distance between the reference point and the notch.
You can modify the following parameters: Distance, Notch type, Length, Width, Position, Angle, Deviation, and validate the actions by pressing Enter.
By pressing the Ctrl key, you can select notches that have different parameters, while, in Context options, you can edit the fields.
On the distance notch, the following actions can be carried out: Create point and Change reference (actions that are detailed upon in Percent notch).
