Add French curve

A french curve is a drawing tool composed by several curves with different shapes and is used for drawing flat curves.

This function is useful for an easy drawing of contours like armhole, sleeve curve, neck curve, the shape of the sideseam.

Before adding french curves on a piece, a collection of the most used shapes has to be created. This means that first, you have to extract, by using the function Extract french curve (function described below) and save the desired contour in the french curve library. From this library, you can always load the saved contours to use on other pieces.

When accessing the function Add french curve you will be guided by the function steps to:
In Step 1, select the first point from the piece where the French curve must be added.
In Step 2, select the second point, whereas, in Step 3, opt for the direction.
In Step 4, select a certain French curve from the list of French curves available, that were previously saved with Extract French curve.

After selecting the French curve from the list, the piece’s new shape can be previewed, you being able to change the direction of the French curve and add the already-existing notches.
The Validate button allows you to modify the shape of the piece’s contour.
